I had a bad experience on the Gem once before but was willing to give it another chance to be with my niece to celebrate her sweet sixteen.I should have listened to myself and stayed home.

Embarkation and Disembarkation was very smooth. I thought we were off to a good start

Once on the ship we grabbed a bite at O'Sheehan's and was impressed with the food and the lack of waiting. All my bad feelings toward NCL are starting to diminish.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Cabin was perfect size and the steward Joel did a great job with it. Our two teenagers were in an inside room and that was quite claustrophobic. The only other inside room we ever put them in had a window overlooking the promenade on a Royal ship and either it was a little bigger or just gave the feel of being bigger i don't know but this was tiny (my fault for not realizing the sq ft was so little)

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Rented a small cabana which turned out to be the best $400 i could have spent. They are hard to get to considering the tram has been non existent for 3 months but i was able to get a ride from one of the workers ( I had back surgery so walking was difficult). Th wait staff were excellent as was the food

New York (Manhattan)

embarkation and disembarkation was smooth
