My main complaints for the Holland America Westerdam to Alaska were:

The food was awful and TERRIBLE for anyone who wants to eat healthily or who has food allergies. All the veggies had butter on them (you should use olive oil). The salad and pasta bar were cross-contaminated with cheese - little bits of cheese or dairy were in many items, making it impossible for anyone with dairy allergy. I had ordered several gluten free foods, which occaisionaly were out, but 80% of the time they had no gluten free options, after asking. Twice I ate in Lido, the fancy dining hall, but each time my food came with items I couldn’t eat, despite giving the ship a list of my allergies. The second time, I even said “can I give you my allergy list” and handed it to the waiter, but they didn’t want to see the list, said they had it. I guess they don’t read English. And to boot, very few of the food staff speaks English well enough to have any confidence they understand you. The soy and almond milk was gross as it was packed with sugar. There was also very little variety in the food. The same two cookies were served every night. The food was just a notch above that of a public high school from the 1970s.

They used the same, dirty measuring vial for preparing liquors, for every drink - I watched, and they didn't clean it between uses/customers. So anyone with food allergies beware.
