I travelled on this Cruise with 10 members of my family which included one child because we liked the itinerary. We had included two days in Rome before the Cruise and we spent the time sightseeing as most of us had not visited Rome before. The Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum are sites definitely not to be missed. We sat in a row on the ledge at the Trevi Fountain and counted one, two, three and we all threw our coins in at the same time while another family member did some video - it was great fun and a lovely atmosphere around the Fountain. We also had all our transfers included.

Our embarkation went very smoothly and soon we were enjoying our first meal in the excellent Buffet Restaurant. There is a wonderful choice of food to suit all diets. All areas of the ship were beautiful and clean. We had 5 Balcony Cabins together on Deck 9 which were lovely. There are plenty Activities all day long going on all over the ship and each evening we went to the shows in the Theatre which were very good. There were Shore Excursions available almost every day but we chose to go exploring on our own. As we had 4 younger members of the family with us we particularly enjoyed swimming in the sea at Villefranche while one of the family did the video - it was a great laugh and we all enjoyed this. We also went shopping at Ajaccio and at Palma we walked in the evening to the nearest Shopping Mall which was about 20 minutes walk.

Each evening we had Dinner in the Main Restaurant where we had a reserved Table for 10. The food was delicious and there was a wide choice on the Menu. I would particularly like to praise "Sam" Maitre "D" in the Main Restaurant for the attention he gave to me each evening. As I am on a Gluten Free and Lactose Free Diet Sam would come to our Table at the end of our meal each evening and hand me the Menu for the following evening. He told me to choose whatever I please from the Menu and he would arrange to have it cooked to cater for my Diet. I really appreciated this as this was above his call of duty. We all enjoyed Celebrity Equinox Cruise and we would definitely go again - in a heartbeat!

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Rome is a wonderful place for sightseeing. In particular the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum are definitely not to be missed. We stayed 2 days in Rome before embarking on our Cruise.

Florence (Livorno)

We decided to take the ship's Shuttle bus into Livorno where we had a look around the shops which were open. However Livorno was quite quiet the day we were there as it was a Sunday.

Villefranche

We crossed over into Villefranche with the ship's Tender which was a beautiful sail across. We could take video of the whole of the ship and the coast of Villefranche. There is a little Craft Market at the Port of Villefranche which sells some lovely goods. We made our way to the Beach for a swim in the sea and we had great fun while one member of the family took video. This is a great place to visit.

Corsica (Ajaccio)

We had a walk around Ajaccio and had a lovely time shopping. I bought a bracelet with Corsica on it and two small bracelets for gifts to take home. A very pleasant way to spend a morning.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

We were two days in Palma de Mallorca and it was very hot. So we waited until after Dinner in the evening and walked into the nearest Shopping Mall from the Port which is about 20 minutes walk. We had a lovely time in the Shopping Mall and bought lots of gifts to take home. We found it more bearable to walk in the evening due to the heat.
