I chose this cruise because I heard many great reviews about how polite the staff is, relaxing cruise (just what we needed), and it was at the exact time I was able to take a vacation. The first day I was so excited to get onto the boat and I was even more excited for my fiancé because it would be his first cruise. He decided to buy the wifi package for $200 since he needed it for business calls. After realizing it did not work for making call we went down to speak with the internet manager. The internet manage so this is fine and will refund the money but we would have to pay the minutes used. We said this is fine because we both thought he only used tops 5 minutes. The manager said he used 45 minutes worth and after telling him this is unfair because he never was able to even use his phone for calls he refused 20 minutes of use. I know $25 is not a major charge but is the principal fact of we are being charged for something we never used and did NOT work!!

Day 1 left a sour taste in our mouth especially when the female bartender at O'Sheehans was very rude and provided poor service. Day 2 we woke up refreshed looking forward to the rest of the cruise. We went back to our room after having a nice dinner at the brazilian steakhouse and I needed to access the safe in the room. It contented to say error. We called and they sent someone who then had to send someone else who then had to send security to change the batteries. This did not work. So after about 2.5 hours which wasted the rest of our night of just sitting and waiting they said the carpenter has to come in the morning to drill the safe. The next morning we were instructed to wait in our room. We rushed breakfast and sat and waited all morning till finally the carpenter came- we needed our licenses that day because we were getting off in Florida that day so we had to wait. So one whole night and whole morning wasted of our vacation. NASA was a great experience but extremely rushed!!! they said you have 6 hours its more like a rushed 4 hours. They drop you off at Saturn V which was amazing!! but they say be back to the bus in 45 minutes to bring to the visitor center. we got back to the bus in time but more than half the bus was empty and we had to sit and wait 20 minutes- wasting our time again to go over to the visitor center when the bus was full.

The next day is Great Stirrup Cay. We woke up excited to go to the beach. My fiancé went down to the gym and saw a line by the pool. He came back to the room and asked me what it was for and I told him I have no idea maybe something for excursions since I did not hear anything about meeting anywhere that morning. When they began to call people to take the boat to the island they called Ticket #1. We had no tickets and were confused. We went to guest services and they told us we and to go by the pool to get a ticket. We rushed there and got ticket #21 and has to wait 2 hours to get to the island. Many people did not know and even were getting ticket #29 while we were waiting the 2 hours! I went back down to guest services and asked them how we were supposed to know to get the ticket and they said it was in the daily paper they leave (I never read this and I am sure not everyone does) and they announced it yesterday at 6:00 pm (yesterday at 6pm most of the ship was in Florida and not onboard). He then told me that "all of these people knew about the tickets" pointing at the lobby of people waiting for their ticket to be called. Very rude.

Bathroom is very tiny, and the room was decent sized but there was not much room to leave suitcases out without having them in the way of walking. They needed to be put under bed with not much room to get around bed. Rooms have more space on Royal Carribean. Our ocean view window was beautiful to look out of. Overall, the room was a decent size for 2 people.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We got to the Port at 10 am so we were one of the first to onboard at 11:15 am when they started to call numbers to board the ship. The ship does not leave till 3pm but I recommend getting their early to avoid wait times and to get onto the ship without any frustration.
