Sail Date: Jun 2016

10 of us sailed on this trip to celebrate the 50th birthday of my husband. We have all been on various cruise previously and have all agreed at the end that we would definitely sail with Thomson again and loved the boat. The rooms were a great size and they were attended twice daily. Much bigger rooms than other boats had provided. The showers took a few goes to get right but there was also a bath and overall the accommodation was very good. Comfortable beds too.

The locations we docked were fantastic. Starting out at Corfu, Koper Slovenia, Venice, Split Croatia, Dubrovnik Croatia, Kotor Montenegro and back to Corfu. We saw some fantastic views, sailing into Venice with a rainbow over the Grand Canal and the beautiful buildings among my favourite. We only chose one trip as we were happy to explore alone. We chose the islands of Murano and Burano and Venice. The trip was worth every penny and Burano has to be one of my favourite new places I wish to return to - followed by Croatia. Sailing out of Montenegro was a delight to the eyes and the soul.

We had a very good experience of the restaurants, the staff in the Orion were always cheerful and happy and the food of a really good standard. We were well looked after and our wine glasses never empty! We had a special birthday meal in Mistrals Restaurant. We were really well looked after by the staff Crispin was lovely and we had a lot of fuss made over us by the Buffet Manager Naren Duagi who had a very funny sense of humour. He made the birthday meal one to remember for sure along with the beautiful dishes served to us. We also used the Kora La restaurant. I personally didn't enjoy the main meal but the starters and staff were very nice.

Cabin Review

Cabin outside plus

Very clean, good sized, comfortable beds, very well looked after by the cabin staff. Shower a little confusing and hard to get right. I seemed to use more water than necessary trying to get the flow from the right place and the right temperature but that was the only criticism.
