Ship is pretty small, only obvious renovations were new carpeting throughout and boleros lounge. Everything else seemed pretty original.
Good things: Friendly crew (with the exception of pool bartenders), very clean cabin, dancers and singers on the ship were great, very entertaining. Very easy boarding and disembarking - the self depart was super fast and easy. Ice cream worked throughout the cruise, outdoor movies were nice and worked. They gave complimentary drinks a few times throughout the cruise which was also nice. We did my time dining and never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table (we chose 8:15 time each night). Stateroom was a little dated, but very clean with AC that worked well. New tv and updated bedding.
Bad things: A few hours into the cruise, the captain announced that they were having "engine issues" and would not be able to make it to the Grand Cayman islands as scheduled, and that we would be going to the Bahamas instead. This was very disappointing as I've been to the Bahamas several times and it's not a pleasant port. We were only given a 10% credit to our on-board account. Pool was always crowded, AC in casino and Royal Theater was not working properly. Decor in certain places on the ship was almost laughable - for example they claimed to have done a major renovation to Casino Royale - the decor at the casino bar is a tacky paper poster hung on the wall with push pins... LOL. I told the host at dinner that it was my boyfriends birthday, so they could sing. I'm not sure if she forgot to relay this message, or the server forgot - but was a big disappointment. Food was just "OK", some nights were better than others. Windjammer food was not appealing. Ship is a little small for anything over 2-3 nights.
Not much to do, very hot.
busy port, but organized
