Chose cruise mainly due to the price and it being a cruise line that we haven't been with before. The biggest disappointment was the number of children on board the ship. The children were very badly behaved, loud and unruly. Lots of different nationalities on board, mainly Italian, German and Spanish. Very little British on board. We were aware that it was an Italian cruise line so did expect different nationalities but would say lots of the ship food and activities were geared towards the Italian nationality.

Buffet restaurant had very poor choice and food not always hot. Difficult to get a seat in the buffet restaurant and very rowdy with people pushing and shoving. The best meals to be had were in the main restaurant. It was difficult to obtain a sun lounger at times. They were all being reserved early in the morning. Theatre shows were not great and kids were running around whilst performances were on. Lots of people were using their iPads during shows which was very distracting. We had the drinks package which had very good selection of drinks. Bar service at pool areas very slow. Lots of people smoking in non-designated areas and they weren't being told off. We had a port side balcony cabin which was very spacious but didn't catch the sun. Ship staff were all well turned out. Ship was very clean throughout but too many mirrors which can be very misleading when trying to find places. Casino very smoky. Disembarkation was very disorganised. We would go on another MSC cruise if the price was right and we fancied the itinerary.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Cabin was very clean and quite spacious. Balcony quite small, it had 2 chairs and a small cloth type table. There was a settee and plenty of storage for your clothes. Bathroom very compact, shower had curtain which did tend to get very static.

Port Reviews

Cannes

Very clean and beautiful. We took the small train around Cannes. It cost 10 euros for approx 1 hour, well worth it.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Took ship shuttle bus which cost 12.90 euros each. This dropped us off near the cathedral. Not much to see apart from the cathedral. Shuttle bus was a rip off, found out from one of our fellow passengers that taxi cost 4.50 euros each way.

Barcelona

Took ship shuttle bus which cost 8.90 euros each. Again a rip off as taxi would cost a lot less.

Corsica (Ajaccio)

Lovely place, well worth taking the little train or bus around the island. We have been to this port a number of times before,

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

This is the port for Florence and Pisa. We have done trips at both these places before. Not much to see and do where the ship docks. There was a free courtesy bus from the port into town,
