We had traveled outside the USA and wanted to see the south without driving. We embarked in Memphis and steamed down the Mississippi. The condition of the ship and our accommodations were better than we expected although the rooms near the paddle are definitely too noisy to be comfortable. The service and the food were better than average. The entertainment team was very talented. However, in general, this was not a "classy" cruise. There was an abundance of passengers who were either on crutches, canes, or so obese that the complimentary "Hop On, Hop Off" buses could have been renamed "Crawl Off, Crawl On"!!!

Our biggest criticism is a safety issue that this cruise line is certain to deal with in a court room one of these days. Because all the ports have levees which usually have a huge slope, they present a challenge for even the most fit passenger. There was very little accommodation, even though a golf cart traveled on the boat from port to port. It was insufficient for the number of passengers and, in certain ports, it wasn't even used. We witnessed two ladies falling down the levee with injuries that could have been avoided.
