We chose this cruise because of Scenic's "reputation" which unfortunately did not follow through. It got of to a bad start. On the coach from Munich one of the passengers noticed we were on a different route. Unfortunately the representative could give us no information. Three hours later (the journey should only have taken 20 minutes) we arrived at the boat but no information was forthcoming from the Cruise Director. It turned out that because of high river levels the boat wad stranded! The first excursion to Nuremberg took three hours each way as opposed to 20 minutes! I e mailed a scenic who said it could be Thursday before the ship could start her journey. As it turned out we sailed on the Tuesday evening.

The trips and the guides were good

The food I have to say was extremely disappointing. Scenic say that they provide fine dining. Sadly this is not the case. In particular the evening meals were poor. Most people we spoke to agreed and thought that the cruise was overpriced. We also did not like the regimented meal times. Being called to dinner was more like a holiday camp scenario.
