Definitely wanted to see Alaska and the amazing glaciers so this was a cruise from the bucket list. Nice ship but packed in the buffet section every breakfast time and if you don't want a cooked breakfast then this is really where you have to go for the choice. Doesn't seem to matter when you go, it's packed and seating can be difficult to find.

A pre-paid drinks card, be warned, will not cover you for water or even a cup of coffee during the day. It is provided after a meal however otherwise you pay extra which seems a bit mean to be honest.

The optional excursions are very pricey so you really have to think carefully what you want to achieve on your holiday or try to fix up a trip from the travel kiosks on the quay side which does work out a lot cheaper. Ports we visited had other options available off the ship.

Very expensive but overall it was worth booking this one although I guess it could be cheaper by booking privately off the ship. However we learnt a lot about dog sledging and what it takes, very interesting indeed. The gold panning was a bit of fun and we walked away with 6 and 8 bits of gold respectively. The train trip was excellent and a once in a lifetime trip.
