Sail Date: Jun 2016

I have been on 3 other Norwegian cruises in the past and figured this one would be better after hearing it would be newly renovated. But by time it sailed the renovations weren't even finished. This boat was nowhere near ready or at the level of expectation of an almost new ship. The air conditioner and toilet in the stateroom was broken most of the week. The maintenance crew came to fix the toilet on day 2 and worked for the rest of that day but then had issues for the duration of the cruise. The air conditioner was not working til the 6th day at sea!!! The railings and walls throughout the boat were still being painted throughout the week. The fumes from the high gloss finish on the railings was unbearable. The wet paint signs, wet floor signs and caution tape were around every corner. The boat was still being cleaned up from construction and the crew was constantly hosing down surfaces everywhere. In the casino at least half of the machines were broken or not in use. The pit boss would leave for hours at a time and no one would be there to track your bets, so you wouldn't be gainig points or credit. The price for seeing the med/nurse and the charge for the use of internet are both extremely high. The entire crew was replaced when it was dry docked for the renovations so they had to have all been in training during that time. Everyone we asked on staff said they haven't been on a cruise yet and none of them had been employed for more than a few months yet. This was the first sailing of the ship so they had absolutely no experience. Don't get me wrong there were a select few who were exceptional but the overall experience of this trip was horrible and I will not be booking another cruise with Norwegian ever again.
