We have cruised many times in the past 10 years, mostly with NCL. But, we thought we would try the RCCL Anthem of the Seas as it is a different company and a newer ship. We were surprisingly disappointed in this cruise.

We had 3 families going... 7 adults and 4 kids. It had asked us to book for dinner and entertainment before boarding, and everything was smooth until about 3 days before we embarked... even though it was not easy to book 11 people for both dinner and show times. Apparently there was a change in entertainment show, and they shifted ALL of our entertainment times differently. Needless to say, it sent us to a frenzy because how can we eat dinner at 6PM, and then watch a show at 9:30PM... or have dinner at 6PM, and see a show at 6:30PM? After calling customer service and waited what seemed forever to change the booking (which you can do the same thing by yourself online instead of going through customer service... they see the exact same thing as you), we got somewhat of a better schedule between dinner and show times.

You cannot book the North Star or iFLY until you are on board. Please make sure this is the first thing you do when you board the ship. You only need one member of the family to book everything, so if you have kids, send them to the buffet first. =)
