I liked the short itinerary, not too long nor too short for our first time sailing without the kids. We liked the idea of a long day at Nassau and going in June would ensure nice, warm weather. We found embarkation to be a breeze! We just brought carry on luggae so we had no added stress of waiting for our bags to be delivered to our room. We had lunch at the lido buffet and although it was crowded it wasn't too bad. We got drinks right away at the Rum Frog bar! We took a chance and headed down to our room and it was clean and ready!
The cruise was the perfect blend of crowds and activities and lots of opportunities to find quiet places to view the ocean. We got the Cheers program which I highly recommend! It was nice to have several drinks without freaking out over the cost. The service we received was fast and friiendly but I did tip $1 extra each time. The comedy show was raunchy but hilarious. The food was varied and althouugh the portiomns were dainty, they filled you up anyway. I especially loved the scallops and risotto, the lido deck pizza and the warm melting chocolate cake. The fruit at breaakfast was also super fresh! My only letdown was they no longer leave little chocolates by your anima; towels at turn down each night. Guess too many peopel can't eat chocolate or something? Overall I would go again but I might upgrade from an ocean view room to a balcony. Our wimndow was a bit frimey so the view was blurry.
Our cabin was efficient and comfortable. The bed was awesome. There was a little dust along the headboard and desk that I ended up cleaning myself. Nothing else was gross so that was a relief. The shower had good water pressure too. Note: I had no blow dryer in the room but packed one just in case. I guess you have to ask for one. Our steward was super smiley and friendly but not around too much. We didn't feel like we really met him.
