GRAND PRINCESS REVIEW - 3/27/2009

This was a 14 day 9 port cruise on the Grand Princess. We took it for several reasons, never being on this large a ship, two ports (Trinidad and Dominican Republic) we hadn't visited previously, and a price we couldn't refuse.

We flew to Fort Lauderdale the day previous (3/26) and stayed - again - at the Sleep Inn in Dania. This was our third time there and are still very satisfied. They pick you up at the airport and the following morning, take you to the cruise port. The hotel has a pool and hot tub, rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is very nice.

Cabin Review

Our cabin, E-403, was listed as "partially obstructed". We chose this one because it was between the lifeboats. The 'obstructed view" was some poles and lines, we could see out perfectly well.
