I was really impressed as the Grandeur is "visibly" an old ship but it packs a punch with the type of service that was being offered. As this was my 3rd cruise on RCCL, I was expecting a great experience and I was not disappointed. The food was really delicious, employees were very personable and helpful, and the captain kept us informed throughout the whole cruise even when he had to turn around to help a stranded person on a one man sail boat. The casino hosts were really great...they gave out lots of gifts and conversed with all of us. The bar tenders were really nice and helpful. Embarkation was very quick and simple but debarkation was a horror I would not wish on anyone. It reminded me of my debarkation on the Liberty. It was very disorganized and the lines appeared to be completely useless but the immigration people made up for it by conducting fast release of people. All in all, it is a great cruise but it is very obvious, RCCL, this ship is in dire need of refurb.
Cabin was really small and with two people, the chair needed to be removed but the doorway was too small so it was in the way the whole cruise. I could also tell that the room had not been vacuumed as you can see the dirt on the floor. Was a little disappointed at that. For a large stateroom, oh my, the shower was really tiny.
