Cabin: The Haven Spa Suite with Balcony

My husband and I just got back today from our 7 night cruise on NCL Escape. We had a great time and loved the ship. My husband surprised me and upgraded us to a Spa Suite in The Haven. We were so spoiled staying in a Haven suite. The room was beautiful and we even had a whirlpool tub in one corner with a big window that looks out with a view of the sea. When we arrived there were flowers in the room and champaign by the whirlpool. Our Room Stewart, Julito, came to meet us soon as we got there. He was wonderful and called us by name every time we saw him. This room also came with a personal butler, Kelly. He was great too. It was wonderful to have snacks such as chocolate covered strawberries, cheese plate, fruit, mini sandwiches , etc delivered to our room everyday. He was available for food and drinks anytime we wanted something delivered. Talk about being spoiled. The Haven had it's own private pool area, bar and restaurant. This area is advertised as a ship within a ship and that was so true. The area is open to all Haven guests so there were kids playing in the pool so we spent more time up on the sky deck where it was quieter. The Haven restaurant was wonderful and the food great. We ate most of our meals there. It was a private area and even had outside seating where we had breakfast almost every morning.

We went to some of the shows that were offered. My favorite was Oh What a Night that was a dinner show. We had a nice dinner that had a set menu and listened to the four singers perform Frankie Valli songs. I loved it. We also went to see The Brat Pack, one of the comedy shows and Howl at the Moon. One thing we missed was there was no regular night club to listen to music and dance. This ship is all about specialty restaurants. We ate at Food Republic one night and really liked it but ate at The Haven the other nights. We ate lunch at O'Sheehans a couple of times and enjoyed wings and chicken fijitas.

We enjoyed the islands although we ran into a problem in Tortola. We were scheduled to dive but there was an engine fire on the boat while it was on the way to pick us up so the excursion was canceled. We had booked through the ship so getting a refund was no problem at all. Since we didn't go on the excursion we just spent the day on the ship which was fine. We love to lay in the sun and read. We also had passes to the Thermal Spa for the week so we went there almost everyday. Happy to say we were able to dive in the Bahamas and really enjoyed it. The excursion was with Stewart's Cove and they did a great job. We even dove with sharks around us which was exciting. Still can't believe I did that.
