No line at all at embarkation. Very fast moving line at disembarkation. Very smooth and easy.

Empress doesn't have the bells and whistles of a new mega-ship, but we loved the more intimate experience. We got to know more passengers and recognized familiar faces all over the ship.

Pool and pool deck are small, but the atmosphere was lively and fun. Never a wait for a drink. Too many people try to reserve a chair by dropping a towel and walking away, but if they are gone for more than 20 minutes we just take the chair - so no problem finding a seat by the pool. Plenty of funny contests, live music, conga line, etc. at the pool.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside

The cabin was small but the bed was perfectly comfortable, and our friendly cabin steward Darren kept it clean and tidy. Towel animals on 3 nights - a fun surprise. We had read reviews that said cabins were stuffy at night, so we brought a small, electric fan with us and we were comfortable. Inside cabin on deck 8 - no noise at night. We brought ear plugs just in case.
