Sail Date: Jun 2016

I just arrived from the MSC Divina today, June 25th, 2016. I have been on 10 cruises (Royal and Carnival). This is the first time on MSC. There are reasons to like this cruise. One of my favorite was that there was no smoking allowed in the Casino. That is a huge plus. Other ships have smoking in the casino. In these ships, they purposely hold the trivia or have bands perform in the casino to get you to gamble. Not the MSC. Another thing that I liked was that the ships is beautiful. It is by far the prettiest ship I've been on. It was also very clean. It is true that not all the staff is very friendly. However, there was one staff member that stood out. He came to clear the table and then began talking to my son and even performed a magic trick for him. Another thing I liked was the shows. I saw two shows, Treasure Island and Starwalker (a Michael Jackson tribute) and they were both awesome. One thing that I disliked is the cups of water. They were too small and I had to keep refreshing my glass at the buffet. Also, at dinner, the waiter did not come by enough to fill my glass. Compared to Carnival, this ship has a slower pace. It is not a party ship and that is fine by me. I find that Carnival is too loud and too full of younger kids and teens. The pools are usually too full and not enjoyable. In the MSC, the crowd tended to be older and not as loud. The atmosphere was more relaxed as well. Overall, I enjoyed it. It was not perfect but neither is Carnival or Royal by any means.
