We had a very enjoyable time on the Riviera ship. First class cabin service and excellent food. We felt the service in the dining rooms was a bit rushed -- within a couple of minutes of being seated they were wanting to take your order for dinner. More than once we asked them to give us at least 3 or 4 minutes to look over the menu. Wine is certainly pushed on the ship. Their cocktails were very watered down. Plenty of areas to socialize with others on the ship. The embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. If I had to do it over - I would arrange my own transportation back to the airport. We used Rome Cabs to take us to the port from Rome and they are EXCELLENT. Not to mention about $100 cheaper and you have the benefit of a private driver and vehicle. The bus used by Oceania dropped us off at the wrong terminal at the Rome airport and we had to find carts to get our luggage to the correct terminal for check in. The ports were all interesting and only wish we could have just stayed on the ship for the next cruise!
