Cabin 5243 was in a sorry state - 3 star motel at best. The bathroom door was peeling badly, the shower was in desperate need of regrouting to get rid of ingrained mould, the sink drained slowly, the carpet was stained and the sheets were thin and pilled (better ones were found on complaint). The TV was faulty.

If this cabin was refurbished it would be marvellous as it is large. The obstructed view was fine as your view is over the top of the life boats. There was no noise from the lift.

The ship is garish but there is plenty of public space and seating and it doesn't feel crowded. Read more
