CarnEVIL! just kidding! The ups and downs of the Conquest

Sail Date: November 2008
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Galveston

Embarkation took about an hour and 15 minutes which was okay by me.

Our waiters we good and friendly and our cabin steward was really great! He ALWAYS smiled and said hello to us in the hallways, even if he was busy working.

The food was good, but it wasn't something that i would go on the line just for. The main dining room meats were tough, but everything else was good. The buffet good was good and they had really juicy fruit that was splendid!

Our stateroom was clean and the balcony is now a must have for me!

The bad things were that the theater was pretty empty for the shows which was a creepy feeling. The bar by the casino was always full of smoking, drunk gamblers that were very rude. The piano bar never had a pianist in it. Many of the bars in the lounges were closed even when the lounge was open which made me feel like I was in a Stephen King movie for some strange reason. The teen club never did anything but sit and talk, and the movies More in your room were no longer free.

Overall it was a very enjoyable vacation that people are sure to enjoy! Less

Very nice, with a new market around the dock. Many excursions available!

The best one by far! Pretty water, pretty beaches, and the people were, for the most part, friendly! The Stingray City Sandbar is really a safe, and wonderful experience too!

Avoid Jamaica at ALL cost! Jamaica is still fool of drugs, poverty, and violence despite what many people try to make you believe! NO NO NO!
