After reading the negative reviews from the first 3 cruises i was very wary about going on this cruise, i did not want to forfeit my money already paid. so when it was finally time i was'nt expecting much but hoping they had fixed the problems brought out in the past reviews. embarkation was pretty fast once you get past the baggage porters who kept nagging you for tips. we got on at 1:30 and the windjammer was open and got in a quick lunch. its true the cabin and bathroom are very small but me, my wifey and 2 kids managed fine. there were 2 bunk beds on the side that folded up when not in use. our stateroom attendant Simone was very efficient and the cabin was made up every time we came back from breakfast and after our shore excursions. we had the traditional dining at 6 pm and it looks like rci pulled out all the stops as the choices and food was very good, kudos to our server jose and rommel and head waiter desmond who made sure everything was to our liking. there was always a lot of food at the windjammer and the ice cream machine was working on deck 10. the shows at night were very good and the comedy shows al ducharme and blackstreet boys were hilarious. there was a rock climbing wall and table tennis that we tried and a small fitness center that we used. atlantis resort in nassau was a blast except that they stopped the rides at 2:30 due to lightning in the distance. cococay was a very nice stop if you walked far enough away from where all the people stayed, the water was very clear and great for snorkeling but we had to leave by 3:00 due to incoming bad weather. The bbq at the beach was pretty good too except for the birds that were hovering around. disembarkation and customs was pretty fast too. overall it was a very good cruise experience for us. thanks to the hardworking crew and staff of the empress of the seas.
junkanoo beach too crowded. atlantis resort very nice
