Cruise from NY to Bahamas 2 x balcony cabins -maily American passengers just a dozen or so brits out of the 4500 onboard ,booked via Virgin so had priority boarding with NO Queing -cabin was ok balcony very small ,as this was school holidays ship was very busy and at peak time difficult to walk along the gangways .We were my time dining plan when you eat around the entertainment if you decide to eat when a show ends you will have a 30 min wait all the food we ate was good and the different options were good ,my main gripe were the staff I wish I had not prepaid tips as most of the time the bar and restaurant staff are competent with fulfilling a task (bring food out -passing you a drink etc) but know nothing of excelling and making the customer feel special and genuinely providing service ,this ALL down to training NCL pay some money and employ managers who have worked in a quality restaurant ! also many staff struggled with basic English especially if you ask a question ! Am I being picky ? but the wine was served in a Carafe circa 1970-1980 ! ,also I had the audacity to ask to see the wine menu ,the wine waiter (I begrudgingly use the term) was very belligerent also SMOKING all over the ship and on deck 8 and siting at bars this is unacceptable in modern societies in 2016 ,HOWEVER the entertainment was EXCELLENT the choice ,variety and quality was very good ,we also enjoyed the excursions which were well organised and good value for money .The private island was tendered so took an hour to get a shore and not enough sun beds and large queue for food -if you like to stay up late and enjoy having a good time you will love this ship as we DID
