We chose this cruise to experience sailing on a larger ship and to visit St Petersberg. The ship - Celebrity Eclipse was absolutely wonderful and we hope to sail on her again soon. Embarkation was not a good experience - we waited a long time to get on the ship as there were some technical difficulties with the boarding platform plus the allocation of the boarding passes seemed to be very disorganised and arbitrary. However disembarkation was highly organised and very efficient. The ship was clean and very well run. The entertainment was excellent - the activities were really good too especially the hot glass show. The service was the best we have experienced with all staff extremely helpful at all times. The ports were very interesting but we would take different excursions if we did the same cruise again, which is unlikely. A big disappointment was Bruges - not the place itself which was really lovely and worth another visit but the excursion organised by the ship put us in the town at around 8am and there was nothing open and nothing to do at all - the shops don't open until 10am and soon after this we were expected to return to our coach to return to the ship. This excursion was a complete waste of money and it was quite expensive.

The food on board was very good indeed with a lot of choice - it should suit any tastes.

The coffee shop and gelateria was better than any I've seen anywhere - and very bad for the figure but never mind you're on holiday after all. All in all a wonderful holiday experience.
