We just went out for a week in the Norwegian getaway for a week . The cruise is beautiful, and the service overall is very good. The music in this ship is way better than carnival which I think is horrible. They play a good variety of music every where in the cruise ;salsa music is a must here. The food is good specially the buffet is above other cruise lines. We ate at several restaurants Cagne, Tropicana, Taste, etc. The only thing they had me 1hr and 20 min waiting to be serve at cagne ,honestly I was about to got to the buffet. Nothing special there. Don't spend to much money on specialty restaurants, because honestly, the food is good everywhere on the ship. I traveled with my kids 7 and 14 they had a great fun in the water park. They really enjoyed it. The port days are the best to get in the different rides. No lines at all. After we came back of the each shore excursion, no lines at all. There is so much to do in this ship that honestly even though is a big boat is not that crowded in the pools except for the sea days and even dough you'll still have almost no lines for the water park. Definitely get the beverage package before you get on the cruise, it is awesome as well as the soda package. Even dough we don't drink that much, you don't want to pay 6-12$ for a drink plus 18% gratuity. By the way if you drink while the ship is still in the Miami port ,they will charge the 18% just be aware of it.No problems with cabin. We got an interior. The only thing they are small. I mean smaller than the other 5 cruises I've been. I guess accommodating 4000 people is not easy task. However, the shower was wonderful and ran perfect, as well as the ac.We went to Roatan(Honduras),Belize city(horrible),Costa Maya, and Cozumel. We book an excursion with the cruise in Belize city to Bacab park or something like it. The place was ok with a huge pool with a canal and small water fall; but the ride to get there was horrible and beyond. The roads (if that can be call a road); where under construction ,full of holes; in a bus where the ac didn't work properly at 96 F outside temp, for 45 min to 1hr.Good luck if you have to go the restroom during that time. My wife had to hold it for the 45 min till she got to the port. The people on the tour where nice ,they did the best they could, but honestly I will not comeback to that place ever again. Cozumel was crowded the day we went. We were on a quinceanera party there. We chose to go to paradise beach. It is beautiful, but a I think it is a total scam.4.50$ for a beer vs 2$ in Costa Maya.It is better to book a snorkeling tour or a day pass to any resort instead of going to Sancho's, playa mia or what ever little club they want you to pay for the all inclusive at 57$ or more for person. The cruise, again it was awesome we saw burn the floor, the illusionarium show; all of them simple awesome. There is a party every where in that cruise. I highly recommend this cruise you can do lots of stuff, the water park, the rope course, sports, hiking, mini golf, bowling, etc...We had a great time, no hiding charges, you can check them on your tv screen any time and also on digital touch screens around the ship that contain also all the activities and was going on in the cruise at all times. Great tip for Norwegian when it comes to keep cruiser informed at all times.Also you may download the NCl app to your phone at check everything you need.
