Chose this cruise because it was cheaper than Celebrity and was going to one port -Ephesus that Celebrity wasn't. After all the terrorist attacks Turkey was canceled. The ship is the oldest of Norwegian. We stayed in a inside cabin in which we could hear noise from all 3 walls. Also felt more movement of the ship. Boy did I miss my balcony I am used to. Even though there were complimentary dining places some of those places charged for certain items on menu. I felt if the dining room was complimentary it should all be free of charge. We had a lot of difficulty in the Windows dining room. Staff was rude and picked and choose what dress codes to follow. The Cruise director was very annoying. Thought he was a stand up comedian. They even had a LGBT meeting every night in one of the pubs, One of the excursions we had to pay to get back on the boat. Disembarkment went very smoothly. We stayed 2 extra nights in Venice. The hotel Norwegian uses in Venice is nice but should not have people checking in and out at the same time for the cruises. There were people fixing to leave for the cruise we just got off at the same time we were checking in. People were standing in line for along time to check in.
Noisy. But comfortable.
Did the Marseille & Aix En Provence excursion. Saw the Notre dame basilica and then had some free time to enjoy real champagne and some lunch,
We were to get in to port at 2:30 but did not until much later, so our excursion was canceled. We spent two extra nights in Venice and saw it on our own.
Did not take excursion because this where the cruise started. We saw Barcelona on our own. Spent two days in Barcelona before boarding ship. Walked most of the city but did use the metro at end. Magic Fountain is only open on weekends so we missed it.
