I was hoping for a cruise a little more luxurious than others i have taken. Sadly there were huge problems. Naturally taking out the wharf in alaska and causing 3 million dollars damage was a notable detraction but there were more serious personal problems with the accommodation and staff.
The staff other than the cabin stewards seemed distant and uninterested until we cast a few 20's around......suddenly all where friends.....room service was hit and miss, food often arrived cold.
The biggest problem was the cabin that lacked any real ventilation so was usually too hot...at one point i suggested to the cruise desk that we would need to move our bedding to the lounge in order to sleep.......response? if you like sir!!!! Also there were huge problems with the toilets. Often the smell was unbearable after the flooding. Some people had to be re cabined. There were many times the toilets were unusable .
see above......barely habitable
