We chose this cruise because of our previous excellent experiences with Uniworld. We’re not sure how Uniworld does it, but their organization clearly has a unique way of attracting fabulous staffers. Uniworld's team members are not only excellent at their jobs, they’re simply marvelous, friendly, engaging people. They make the cruise.

But that’s not to say that any other aspect of our experience on the Antoinette was lacking. As always, every meal was a delight. We loved the Leopard Bar. The excursions were, as we’ve come to expect, first-rate. Excellent guides, small groups and state-of-the-art communication equipment, which makes it really easy to wander from the group a bit and still hear every word the guide utters. We particularly loved our afternoon in the Black Forest, which included lunch and Black Forest cake at one of the stops along the way.

The post-cruise extension to Basel and Lucerne turned out to be great as well, and, we think, a bargain given the 5-star hotel, transfers, the guides and the exclusive lake cruise that were included.

Cabin Review

Suite with Full Open-Air Balcony

Cabin S

The suite has about 25 percent more space than a regular stateroom, and most of that extra space is used for a nice seating area. The bathroom is extra large, with double sinks and a very large shower. There are three TV's (overkill, but nice to have), one in the bedroom area, one in the living area and one on the balcony. There is also a stocked, complimentary mini-bar, and elegant snacks are provided each afternoon. Butler service is also included. Oh, did I forget to say that the room is decorated beautifully? It is -- just like the rest of the ship.
