This was our third Alaskan cruise, but our first with Celebrity and our first one-way (Northbound) cruise. It was also part of a cruisetour (3 days post-cruise, Talkeetna Treasures). Overall it was a wonderful experience and incredible weather. I'll hit on a little bit everything we experienced.

Embarkation was a breeze. Vancouver's port is probably the easiest and quickest we've ever gone through. We got there extremely early (10:15am) and we were on board by 11:20. If we didn't need to wait for officials to clear the ship for boarding, we probably could have boarded by 11:00!

Since this was our third cruise in Alaska, we only had 2 ports where excursions were booked through Celebrity: Juneau and Icy Strait Point. The other 2 ports (Skagway and Ketchikan) we did our own DIY walking tour, as well as going to see the Days of '98 Show in Skagway. Those walking tours were a joy to do. Prior to the one in Ketchikan, I never really enjoyed the city. However, walking around and seeing all the history, it gave me a new appreciation for it. And the Days of '98 Show in Skagway is a hoot! Go see it if you get the chance!
