We chose this cruise as we had a fantastic time on Norwegian Spirit last October. Our overall impression was of staff less happy and definitely overworked. The decor is very tired(our hand basin was cracked)and colors garish, but I believe it is due for a refit next spring. We could have overlooked all this had things been more upbeat.
First I would like to name Alberto, who did a good job of looking after our cabin and creating the wonderful towel animals(especially the hanging monkey).Karen, and Amdreea who worked at the Atrium bar were stars!Martin sang and played the guitar regularly in the evening and actually learnt a new song after I requested one not on his list. How nice was that.Overall though.entertainment, particularly the piano playing was dire.People sat around falling asleep.Apart from the signature show which was spectacular,we didn't enjoy the rest.
One other thing I would like to mention are some of the rude, ignorant people staying on the ship who treated the staff so rudely. Many of the staff had young families at home who they were supporting and deserved respect.
The cabin was adequate with a decent amount of storage. We were able to slide our large case opened under the bed.I suggest packing a plastic hanger so that any creased clothes can be hung up in the steam from the shower
Walked around the old town.Busy uneven road to walk so with hindsight would have taken a taxi both ways.
Went by the Palace for up close photos of the traditional guard. Then visited the new Acropolis museum. As we were there last year, kept it relaxed with shopping Spagna area.We also had lunch with live music at the Acropol restaurant in a pretty square.Used Nicholas taxi who fitted around our schedule, leaving us for three hours shopping etc bourousistaxi@gmail.com
Historic town which is compact and easy to gets around.Don't forget to find the giant statue and rub his foot for good luck.
