We chose Norwegian Cruise Lines because of the huge party we saw going on at a specific port to welcome guests back to the ship. We wanted to be a part of that party!!! The embarkation process was 20 minutes from door to ship. We arrived at 12 to spend the day on the ship as it doesn't leave until 7. Rooms were not due to be ready until around 2 and they were ready when promised. We went straight to Headliners Club for VIBE passes. Only 70-75 are sold and we got four of the last 10 to be sold. We began to eat and never stopped for eight days. The balcony room was clean and neat and awesome for myself and my wife to live in. Steward was ok, we had to remind him about extra towels needed. Dining was awesome. We went to one specialty restaurant, Moderno, the Brazilian restaurant, and it was fabulous. Don't fill up on the best salad bar on the high seas cause the food in Moderno just keeps coming and is great. The rest of the time we ate at Taste,Savor, Oshehans, Manhattan Room, and yes the buffet. Entertainment- Howl at the Moon an absolute must, Brat Pack(For The Record) Fantastic!!!! Went to Howl at the Moon several times and was from 9-1 on the three nights offered. You can come in and go out and hang out. The Cruise Director, Tyler, awesome and friendly and seemingly accessible. he jammed on the rums with the piano players. One piano player played flute, drums, violin and was awesome. Show gets dirty after 11 and is a riot, so no kids. Drink up and it is even more fun. Comedy in the Escape Theater pretty good. The "Cotton Club" type show not so hot, but then it isn't our type of thing. Service in the VIBE is so worth the $99 charge per person per cruise, Roberto, Rommel, and Rinson(they call him Minyan), work very hard to make sure you are happy. Please don't forget to tip them for the service of making you not have to worry about finding a seat and being a bit away from the 3925 other passengers. Unless you want to be with all of the other folks, it is like your own exclusive club. First two days at sea was awesome. Then St. Thomas, Tortola, another day at Sea and then Nassau. We were not in love with Nassau too crowded....five ships at once and wicked hot. Disembarkation is good, but delay at customs is the first time you experience being with 4000 other passengers. It takes a good deal of snaking and time to get through. Be ready and be honest. Nearly everyone in service was helpful kind and nice and wanting to do whatever they can. Ali the bartender in the bar in the atrium not so happy, but Ruby who works at the same bar was fantastic. First bartender we saw and couldn't do enough. Take care of bartenders and they will take care of you. Carol the bartender at Howl at the Moon was great and sharp as a tack. Did the ropes course too!! So much fun and well worth the wait on line. It moves.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Cabin was very roomy. However, layout where bed is in front of closet is not great. Other room layout where couch is in front of closet and bed is near balcony door is better. Room is typical but bathroom has a shower door!! Very roomy and nice and new. Balcony is fine, however view down is blocked by lifeboats, but so what? view out is gorgeous.

Port Reviews

Miami

where we left from, no tours.

Nassau

Five ships there at once. So crowded and hot, but got some good shopping at a no frills souvenir shop on the main street.

St. Thomas

been there many times before and walked to town and back. Shopping was just fine.
