As first time cruisers we were recommended to the Epic by a friend. We didn't know what to expect but can honestly sum the experience up in one word "WOW".

The moment we arrived for boarding we were overwhelmed by the size of the Epic and the check-in procedure was so well organised that we were soon checking into our cabin. We chose an aft facing balcony on deck 13 which gave us not only brilliant views as we left each port but an excellent first night on the Med watching an amazing sunset with a cheeky wee glass of red

As a couple traveling without children we loved the peace & quiet of the Spice H2o bar which is for over 18s. There was a pool & 2 hot tubs and brilliant bar staff who permanently smiled and could not have been nicer

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

The cabin was bright and airy with plenty of cupboard/ wardrobe space. The TV is a great way to book shows, restaurants and keep an your onboard account

Our steward introduced himself straight away was was always on hand

The simple signage outside the cabin could easily be change if you wanted not to be disturbed

Noticeable noise from bow thrusters when docking but a very peaceful part of ship as nobody walking past en route to their cabins

Be warned..... mini bar is not included in Ultimate Drinks Package and pretty pricey

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Had an overnight stay so a morning exploring La Rambles and enjoying Blue skies & hot sunshine in outdoor cafe. Will need to return and spend more time seeing this fascinating city

Naples

Beautiful architecture as we explored Naples but found the hustle & bustle a wee bit frantic and not at all relaxing

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Organised, regular shuttle bus from ship to port entrance

Loved the peaceful pace of Civitavecchia especially the market place and walk along waterside

Cannes

Ships Tenders ran all day and we took the wee train ride round Cannes which gave an interesting commentary as we rode. Once you survive the gauntlet of street vendors as you leave the port you can sit on the beach, explore the designer shops or simply sip wine in an outdoor bar and watch the lovely people in even lovelier cars go by

Marseille

Did not go ashore
