This was our second Princess cruise and it met our expectations. The ship was great and our minisuite suited us perfectly. Would point out to be careful if you desire privacy as the balconies are often open rather than covered but this wasn't an issue for us. The food in the anytime dining rooms was very good and we didn't feel the need to splash out on the speciality restaurants as we did on our first cruise. I would like more tables for two and the option of reserving a table at a greater range of times (only available slots to reserve were 5.30 and 7.45). The entertainment was variable, the comedian was very good but the production shows were not particularly memorable. But we were here for the scenery and wildlife and we got this in spades. This was enhanced by the whole Alaskan theme of the cruise. The excursions were well organised and very enjoyable, not cheap but you don't expect them to be on an Alaskan cruise. Our flight over the misty fjords was cancelled at last minute due to weather but we went on the boat excursion instead and was not disappointed. The train trip in Skagway was spectacular. On board the ship, the naturalist was very passionate and informative and we went to all her talks and met her at front of ship at particular times to be shown particular things of interest. We learned so much and really enjoyed the experience of trying to sight wildlife. The Alaskan themed food was great, so much seafood! Another highlight was the 5 week old sled dog puppies that were bought on board for us to cuddle in the Piazza - what a scrum to get close to these cuties!

All in all it was the cruise of a lifetime, especially when taken as part of a Princess cruisetour which does the Rockies first via Rocky Mountaineer - thoroughly recommend this package. Add on a few days in Denali and you have a true bucket list experience.

Now if only Princess would release our pending funds - a bit annoying 3 weeks after end of cruise.
