Sail Date: Jun 2016

After all the issues with the May 28th trip, I was expecting the worst. But my family really enjoyed our time on this trip. This was our 2nd cruise. The first was on Enchantment. Empress is a small ship but it was not a problem for us. The cabins were smaller than Enchantment and they did not have a sofa but I didn't really miss that. The shower was very small but again, not a big deal.

Dining:

We did My Time dining and most of the time we ate dinner around 8 PM. Never had an issue with them being out of any entrees or desserts. Dinner service took about an hour. Our servers were very attentive and made our dinners enjoyable. Unfortunately we did not get the same servers for the entire cruise, at the most we had the same ones for 2 nights. So we did kind of miss that part of getting to know your servers and them getting to know you but all of the servers were great. Food was great with the exception of Paris theme night. French cuisine is just not my thing. Windjammer was a bit crowded but I think it was mostly because everyone came in the same door, the line on the back part was always much shorter. Windjammer late night snacks (10- midnight) pretty much served the hamburger, hotdogs, pizza, and fries every night. So not much variety there.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside

Cabin was small and it must be under part of the galley because I heard things moving around just about every morning around 5 AM. It would wake me up but didn't keep me up.

Port Reviews

Key West

It was very hot and other than taking a pic at Southernmost Point, it was not very interesting.
