My wife and I live in S. Florida and cruising is an easy and value vacation. Over the years we have been on almost all lines, and ships that range from intimate to gigantic. We just completed a 7 nite cruise aboard Holland Americas EURODAM and we both agree that this is a must do again. This ship is furnished in upscale modern/contemporary themes. This in not plastic and neon. Rather leather and woods. The art throughout the ship is like a day at any world class museum. Though our verandah cabin on deck 8 was slightly small The verandah was smallish as well the pillow top mattresses were the best. We were lucky in that we had 6 beautiful days of sunny mild weather in calm seas. I believe that even had we not gotten off the ship there was so much to do at an adult level. The spa/fitness center are amazing. The lounges are luxurious. The dinning rooms are spot on. We ate at the pinnacle grill and their asian fusion rest and both are 4+ star in my opinion. Comparable to any designer name restaurant in Vegas. The up charge is minimal for the experience. For entertainment there piano man was extremely good. The shows were professional and worthy of visit. If you like beach time Hollands/Carnivals private beach?island is gorgeous. There are the usual beach activities but if you want some down time find the large trees and grab a couple of loungers. By 1/2 the sun will get you. They now offer these clam shell as well which are not expensive for the day and work well for staying out of the sun. Lastly,There were reported to be over three hundred kids/teens aboard. Kodos to parents, staff as you would have never known. The new Holland America is no longer for the blue hairs. Eurodam we shall return!!!
