Leaving out of San Francisco is very convenient for us as we can drive to the pier in less than an hour. Grand Princess is a little too large for me, but that is a personal preference. It is however a beautiful and well maintained ship. Food was great and service even better.

Cabin was smaller than I remember. Love having a sofa to sit on. We aren’t really into the entertainment so not much to say about that part of the cruise.

We planned our own shore excursions.

Cabin B2

Smaller than I remembered, but adequate. I like a sofa to sit on.

Port Reviews

Ketchikan

Just walked in town and over to Creek Street. Great sunny day. Have been here before so just took it easy and got in a good walk.

Victoria

Ship was docked a lot further out this time and so the walk in and back for a shortened day took up quite a bit of the port time. The weather was lovely and had some local craftspersons at the quay. Loved the fisherman’s wharf area with it’s adorable houseboats to look at. Not enough time in port for an independent orca whale excursion, but we can try that another time.
