When you first gather at the pool while still in port, Cruise Director Ken asks "Are you ready to have the best seven days of your life?".RCCI does their utmost to see that every guest is very well cared for, fed, entertained, and generally make those seven days on board as though you are the only guests they ever have.Bravo, RCCI! We have never stayed in an inside stateroom, but I was nervous having a balcony with a young child, but it was actually fine, and I would do it again.Quarters were tight, but with the magnificent Mariner, there was no need to stay in a stateroom. The highlight on this cruise was enjoying the company of our new friends at our beautiful table which was set by a big window and away from noise. The couple and their dear son made our evenings fun as our boys enjoyed one another and after dinner we went to the shows together. We could not have hand chosen better people with whom to share dinner and other gatherings on ship. This was our first time bringing a child with us and the Adventure Ocean program was very well run with one exception which I hope has been addressed. Due to cold sea days, which are not the fault of the ship but something we did not anticipate since sailing on Celebrity to Panama we did not experience any cold sea days from the same port; we were anxious to get off the ship.It was disappointingly cold, and we did not know that it was going to be so windy and chilly. While I do not like to complain, Royal Caribbean needs to update one big policy, SMOKING.The smokers on board made this trip miserable, especially since we had to be indoors for the sea days.We had a huge biker group on board, and while their tattoos and long hair and t shirts were tolerable, the smoking was awful.Celebrity from what I understand has gone completely non smoking except for the cigars, which I consider tolerable and so do my friends. It is difficult for me to understand how the food on this ship could be considered anything but really good. There are so many selections and if you don't like what you get you can ask for something else. This ship is serving three thousand passengers at a time, and if something is not what you like, your server is there to improve it.Our waiter was cutting up the boy's steak and tomatoes like I do at home, boy was that a treat for me!

Cabin Review

We selected an inside stateroom for three people, but once we put clothing away and stored suitcases under the bed it was fine. There is a volume button for the captain's announcements that was turned off that I discovered the last day, but turned on it would have helped get my family up and out. Also, there is a channel that has a live web cam outside and I wished I would have turned it on during the brief time in the cabin.
