We live in Spring TX and Montgomery TX which is only 2 hours from Galveston so that's a plus not having to fly somewhere. Embarkation was terrible; . We had a 12-12:30 embarkation time but stood in line for an hour and a half...mostly outside. The computers were not working so there were long long lines. They finally just gave up and gave us our Sign and Sail Card with no questions asked and must have entered all the info into the computers later.

Awesome cabin steward (Pepito) .Cabin 1026 is nice and quiet; far enough but not too far from the elevators, just a short walk to the Lido deck.

Enjoyed the sail-away party on the Lido and ate a hamburger and fries for dinner as we were hungry and didn't want to wait in line for the "Your time Dining". Which when we went the next night (elegant casual night formerly Formal Night) was another long wait to be seated. When finally seated - apparently along with 10 other tables that they called at the same time - the waiter had to take 30 orders at the same time. It took a half hour to get our appetizer and probably 35-45 minutes after that for the entree'. All of the tables' dinners were covered and sitting on trays for 10 minutes while the waiters did their silly dance - which could be done without in my opinion - so the food was definitely not hot. But we had already eaten everything in our bread basket so we weren't too hungry anyway. This is a terrible way to feature "fine dining". The food was average, the desserts delicious.(Don't miss the chocolate melting cake!) We will be sure not to do "your time" dining again...it's "their time dining" !

Cabin 8E

We had seen reviews of cabin 1026 that stated the beds were like a hammock. We called customer service prior to cruise date and asked that this be looked at and fixed. When we arrived in our cabin only one bed was hammock-like. We called guest relations and they sent Pepito (the best cabin steward ever!) who said he would see to it. When we came back an hour later the bed was nice and firm. I think he probably put a board or something between the mattress and box springs, but whatever he did fixed the problem and I slept well. The cabin did seem warmer than we like and we had the AC on high but it didn't make a difference.Just had to throw the heavy comforter off in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there were light blankets we could have used as the comforter is wonderfully soft and thick, but too warm for the room.

Pepito was great! He never missed a beat, even when he had to wait for two lazy women to get up and out in the morning. Ice in the bucket every day without asking,...he even put our bottle of white wine in the ice bucket.Always fresh towels and linens and room well cleaned every day. (He needs a Raise!)
