This was a last minute trip for me and my college age daughter. She's studying nursing (very stressful) and my job has been crazy so we decided we needed a break. We found a good price for a 4 day cruise on the Navigator of the Seas and off we went.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale the day before the ship departed. We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Grande which is basically a 5 minute taxi ride to the port. We arrived around 11:30, checked in and were having lunch at the Windjammer before noon. I think we were one of the first on the ship and took the opportunity to explore before it got too crowded. We were immediately WOWED with the Royal Promenade Deck. Hard to believe we were on a ship. There were several shops: jewelry, liquor, general store, ladies fashion, logo shop and Ben & Jerry's ice cream as well as a couple themed bars and 24 hour cafe. Two parades were held on the promenade; a welcome parade and 70's parade (loved that one as that's "my time").

Cabin: We had an inside cabin on deck 9. It wasn't huge by no means but we were only there to sleep. Our cabin attendant did an awesome job of keeping the room spotless and we always arrived back at night to find a towel animal and our beds turned down.

Cabin Review

Slept like a baby, never heard anyone else. Tiny bathroom/shower. Could barely turn around once you got in.
