We have cruised with Carnival twice before and this was our 3rd plus it was for our Honeymoon. Things started out bad from the beginning, We were in line on the lot and had been for about an hour when a Carnival employee showed up with the police and demanded that everyone had to leave. There was some problem with the propulsion system and they did not have an eta of when the ship would sail, there was not enough parking on the lot for other vehicles and that it wasn't fair for us to be sitting there while others were turned away at the gate. He refused to answer anyone's questions other then to say this was coming out of Miami and if we didn't leave immediately we would be issued citations. We were told to return at 2pm, of course when we did the gate was still locked and the traffic stretched from the terminal and down I95. When we finally made it onboard and out luggage to arrived to the room it was soaking wet along with most of our clothes, we didn't sail until 7 that night. The food and service was not up to par for what we have come to expect from Carnival Cruise Line, was drab, boring, no taste and the same everyday. The Dinning Room was not much better although the Steak House was excellent. The only port of call worth mentioning is Half Moon Cay, currently there isn't a lot there but I see possibilities. Grand Turk was ok at best and I hope I never have to stop at Freeport again. We had a few other issues onboard but would take to long to explain them all. If we had been first time cruisers I don't think we would ever travel Carnival again, as we know this isn't the typical experiences we have had we will give them another chance. We are currently planning a graduation cruise where we will get two rooms and travel with 4 of us and plan to fly to another port and try another ship...We wont sail on the Pride again, I think Carnival has given up on this ship.
