Sail Date: May 2016

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, dates and because it was a new ship...last year was the first time we sailed with HAL, so we booked this new ship while onboard the Eurodam since we also received the shipboard credit.

Norway is beautiful and the ports were great...only Trodheim we could've skipped, not much to do there. In Flam we booked the train one way and then hiked down, some people biked down - 13kms and then got on the train there...you miss the beautiful views if you just do the train...so if you are able to do this you should. In Gerianger we noticed they have a new spot to walk up stairs to the cultural centre vs walking up the hill, you walk along the falls. If you go to the North Cape the crab safari is a must, especially if you like King Crab...you will never want to eat frozen again!

About the ship...It still smelled brand new and its a beautiful ship. Yes most of the passengers are older, I would say the average is probably 65 years, but of course that doesn't surprise us because not many families would chose this itinerary or this ship since there is not a lot for children to do even though they have the HAL club.
