We have traveled on the Allure of the Seas and wanted to compare the sister ships. We were a group of seven couples on a pleasure cruise made up of newbies and experienced cruisers. Won't do the Oasis again. Older and not as well kept. Chaos seemed the rule of the week. The only positive note I can relate was the dining room staff were outstanding and the food was excellent. Can't say the same for the Windjammer. Cold food and very crowded. Cabin was kept very neat and tidy by a young man who went by Jim since his real name was difficult to pronounce. He was the shining star in a less than friendly staff throughout the ship. Guest Services staff were often confused and lacking in helpfulness. Perhaps it was the language barrier.

As usual, San Maartin was our favorite port and we always enjoy our visit there. St. Thomas was a different story. Had a long water taxi ride to St john only to find a taxi ride to Trunk Bay for about a half hour beach stay. Lifeguards closed up early, snack bar (yes, we had to pay for snack and drinks including water) also closed up early and the taxi ride was like Mr Toads wild ride from the old days of Disneyland. To top it all off the "guide on board the water taxi actually requested tips for the crew and even asked for a specific amount. Oh well, we won't be doing that one again.

Embarkation and disembarkation were fairly easy but a little slow due to the large number of people coming and going. I highly recommend the luggage valet if you are flying home.

Neat, clean and well attended. A little smaller than we were use to.
