I chose this cruise because it was new and it went to ports I've never been to. I have done 6 cruises with NCL and they went as far as the Bahamas and Bermuda. We left out of Bayonne. Very easy to board. We were on by 11:30. It started off bad from there. I went with my 2 daughters, ages 21 & 19. There were 4 RCL employees when we boarded. Two were on their phone and the other 2 were talking amongst each other. Not one said welcome aboard or God forbid hello!! We annoyed them by asking which way we should go. Unfortunately this was the type of service we received the rest of the cruise. When you board a NCL ship you are welcomed with many people smiling and clapping and a complimentary drink, here we didn't even get a hello!

I wasted 6 hours in total on the guest services line for so my mistakes/issues. There are 4800 passengers and only THREE members helping at G.S.I pre booked all my reservations 4 months in advance and they did not have half of them. I had a celebration booked for my daughter's graduation that they failed to find so I rescheduled on my last night and once again they did not do it! They cancelled our San Juan excursion and I got 6 different reason why. I will never know for sure. We took a taxi to the beach and spent $21.00 compared to the $400.00 they were charging so it worked out ok. I have never once returned one meal on other ships but we returned 6 dishes in total. The food at Silk was terrible and Chic was not much better. The Grande was great our 1st night and we went back our 5th night and it wasn't so great anymore. Don't bother with Wonderland. Waste of money and no "experience" as I was expecting. We went to Chops Grille on our last night and could not cut into our shrimp or chew the lobster. It might have been better on a earlier day but for the extra money I was expecting better quality and it was terrible! The best restaurant by far was Jamie's. We went there twice! Eat as much as you want and everything we tried was delicious! After using the Windjammer for breakfast we found out that Silk and the Grande served breakfast which was much better than waiting on line and then circling for a seat! Also eat at 270 and other restaurants for lunch.

Book your reservations before you board. We heard so many people that could not get reservations and we're on a waiting line forever. I spoke to so many people that cruised 20+ times with RCL and they've never felt so mistreated and how the food was not as good as other ships. The crew was not friendly or helpful at all. It was so upsetting to me. I tried to say hello and they looked at me like I was crazy! With NCL they knew our names on the 2nd day and they were so nice and fun. This ship was lacking both! Not nice or fun! No fun activities during the day. Only seen the cruise director on TV which is ridiculous and only ONE dance place at night which was always packed! NCL had 3 or 4 dance/night clubs and some many other things to do throughout the day! One outside pool for 4800 guests!! Get your towel out by 7:30 if you want a chair any where near the pool! Don't go to the bar for a drink, you'll be waiting forever. Wait for someone to come to you.
