We started out in Fairbanks on a 4 day land cruise. Overall the land cruise wpuld rate a 5 out of 10. Two much time on the bus with delay after delay. Do not go to the salmon bake in Cfairbanks. Way to commercialized. Find a local restaurant for your salmon. The bar at the hotel doesn't open till 6pm. You would be better off to book your tours privately. The train ride to Denali was great. The hotel in Denali was not ready for us. Again, we had to wait at the welcome center for about an extra hour. The restaurant could not handle the crowd. Long lines, cheapest item on menu was a $16 hamburger. One couple said they waited one hour for their hamburger to arrive. Boy trip to Denali was fun but we didn't see Denali. We saw some wildlife but no where near what we thought. Got back to hotel. Took the shuttle to town to eat. The overview Restaurant was awesome.

Next day bus ride to Anchorage and then to Seward was long. Delays in Anchorage and then in Seward was tiresome. Getting on the ship was a breeze. But you get their very late in the afternoon.

So land tour is long, full of bus rides and delays and tiresome.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A2

Clean. The shower has a tendacy to flood bathroom. Has a few jets but the doors are not sealed tight and water runs in bathroom. Attendant was not thorough. Had to constantly ask for water, bathroom shampoo, just didn't seem attentive to the little extras.

Port Reviews

Seward

Bus delay. Looks like a nice town.
