As a frequent cruiser and long time fan of RC, I must sadly say, that this was the worst cruise I've ever been on. I would liken it to a two star all inclusive resort. Only problem is that it wasn't all inclusive. What happened to the old Royal Caribbean International? Where are the beautiful spacious ships? Where is the great entertainment and all the lovely added extras and rewards?
What I saw was a mismanaged, overcrowded ship, mediocre to poor stage shows, standing room only tiny swimming pools and extra costs for pretty much everything but the air we breathed.
We had issues from the first day on the ship and continued to have problems until near the end of the cruise. I believe there were only two days when we didn't have to waste our vacation time, aggravated and standing at the customer service desk to report on a major problem (disappearing dining reservations, excursion situations - 3 occasions, non existent room service, wake up calls that didn't happen, and more).
The cabin was very nice and our attendant was excellent, polite, inconspicuous, attentive.
Since I'd been here on a previous trip and since I'd already seen Hell and the turtles, we only wandered through town...no excursion. There were the usual cruise shops with rum cake, colour changing items, and diamonds. There wasn't anything particularly noteworthy so I think an excursion would have been a better option.
