Embarkation was a nightmare - took us 3 hours to get onboard - ridiculous. We even followed their new staggered policy to checkin - guess it wasn't a success. And the food in the windjammer was disgusting - everyday! Curry and rice everyday! Breakfast was powdered eggs and pork and beans. We ate I the dining room out of necessity and it became repetitive. Supper was better - the wait staff was great. But overall the food was horrible and even though I don't eat a lot, who doesn't cruise today. I have never been on a cruise where the food was not edible? This was our 7th cruise to Alaska and I will never cruise Royal again. This was our third RCI cruise and we were hesitant because of past experiences, but our friends were cruising for the first time and it was their choice. We picked an inside room that faced the promenade - big mistake - the music was loud every night.
