My husband and I were looking for a reasonably-priced getaway and got a great deal on this NCL Epic Med Cruise. The ship was beautiful and despite the fact that it was sold out, we never felt crowded or waited for anything. Restaurants and shows always had seats, the buffet was plentiful and well laid out, and public areas were spacious. The ports were wonderful and getting on and off the ship was easy (even in Cannes where we tendered).
Be warned: WiFi (and internet access in the Library) was terrible! We purchased the unlimited package and quickly requested a refund; internet appeared to be an issue (and time waster) throughout the cruise and there was always a slow-moving line of guests complaining to the internet manager.
We ate mainly at the free restaurants and buffet; food and service was very good. American Express provided us with a complimentary dinner at Le Bistro and it was excellent; we highly recommend this restaurant.
The cabin was roomy with tons of storage and a relatively large flat screen TV. While the bathroom layout is unconventional, it was wonderful having the large tub/shower. Balcony was large enough for two chairs with small tables; I would have loved to have a chaise. The bed was so comfortable! The mattress provided really good sleep.
After much research on Cruise Critic, we decided to take the Petit Train de Cannes (the little white train) tour of Cannes. We really enjoyed it. The train was at the end of the dock waiting for us and gave us a great tour of the city. After the train tour, we strolled the La Croisette people watching and taking in all of the sites. It was a beautiful and relaxed day.
