Sail Date: May 2016
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was only my third cruise and I was keen to try a new ship. We were upgraded to a mini suite which was wonderful, Others have given physical descriptions of the ship and lots of comments about good and entertainment. I enjoyed it all. We didn't do any ship excursions. I did a little research beforehand and felt we could do our own, except St Petersburgh. We hired a private guide and driver which was perfect. Our group of 4 got priority access, personalised service and our guide was a university graduate in Russian history, an amazing young woman.

I have two complaints: one is that the daily entertainment was fixated on playing on women's insecurities - " get rid of belly fat" Make those wrinkle disappear" " kickstart your metabolism." Etc etc Seriously? On a cruise where you almost eat yourself to death?

And everything else involved heavily pushing their own products.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Loved loved loved our roomy, well decorated cabin. Loads of space, cupboards..

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

The Copenhagen card was wonderful. 2 full days of free transport and entry to everything.

Oslo

Lovely friendly people and interesting places to see.

Berlin

We decided to head to scherwin castle, as Berlin was too far. The castle is ok, but European castles are much better. It seemed staff everywhere in This area had grumpy pills!

Tallinn

Pretty little medieval town, with lots of quaint shops and churches.

St. Petersburg

We booked a private tour for 4 people with St Petes a Tours. Our guide Sasha was a gem, a walking encyclopaedia of Russia, excellent English too. Our driver was a friendly Russian bear. Cost was about AU$500 and was well worth it.

Helsinki

Hardly enough time there to see much

Stockholm

Would have loved to have seen more, but very short time there. I'd rather pay for 2-3 extra days and spend more time in Helsinki and Stockholm.
