I was a 1st time cruiser and the Carnival Victory did not disappoint!! Embarkation was very organized and went very smooth. The ship was beautiful and clean when we finally got on board. The staff ushered us to pool decks and had lunch ready. Our luggage arrived within 2 hours of us boarding, so I was very pleased with that. Our cabin was upper interior (Deck 6) was tiny, but provided anything we could need from a cabin. Everyone traveling with us had very clean and functional rooms each day. The food was perfect for every snack and meal we had. We ate a ton, but stayed so active that I had no problem eating what ever I wanted.
There were more activities than I could even attend, although I tried! The live bands and Comedy Club we my favorites. The hospitality was amazing, my drink was never empty and I was constantly smiling. Overall security was also impressive. My 15 year old spent the last two days with new friends that she met in Club 02. The club Manager was very involved with making sure the teens had a blast each day, all while not letting in strange adults. She made it a point to meet and know just about every parent who's teen went there.
The ports were great, Freeport was less crowded than Nassau. We went to Tianio Beach in Freeport and did shopping in Nassau. The beach was a 12 mile drive across the Island but again, we had wonderful, local hospitality by our bus/cab driver. Traveling in a group of 10 with one in a Wheelchair and they made it happen so smoothly! My daughter made memories that will last forever. We will definitely cruise Carnival again and again! Everything else like the music, sail off parties, Dive in movie, and ALL of the wonderful staff was just as enjoyable. Can't wait to cruise again!
Cabin was small but we were only there to sleep for a few hours or to change.
We planned our own excursions. Beach Day in Freeport and shopping in Nassau. This way, we could explore on our own while not trying to keep up with another schedule!
