This was our first Costa cruise and we loved it. My husband and I had been wanting to see Scandinavia and St.Petersburg, so we decided to book this cruise.
The ship was lovely and very clean. Things were well marked and it was easy to find one's way around. We had Suite 7314 on deck 7 which couldn't have been a better location. Our stewardess, Fe, kept the room immaculate and there was nothing that was too much trouble for her to do for us. Leao, our butler, was always checking in to see if we needed something and he delivered any of our room service requests promptly and with a smile.
I can't say enough good things about our dining experience. I didn't know until we boarded that we had been assigned any-time-dining in a special dining room called Club Luminosa for all of our meals. After the first dinner, our waiters, Roger and Asis, knew how we liked our olive oil dip, what wines we preferred and the timing for the courses. All of the staff in the Club Luminosa were great and they operated like a well-oiled machine under the direction of Ronald King, the Maitre d'. Breakfast was wonderful with made to order eggs and dinner was three courses with several choices for each, or the chef's suggestions. The chef was usually right!
Beautiful cabin with lots of storage and comfortable bed.
Hop on Hop off bus to Vasa, Nordic Museum and Skansen the first day. Boat trip and walking around Gamla Stan the second day. IceBar downtown was fun.
Walked by the shoreline and walked to the Flea Market and antique market.
Walked off the ship and caught the Hop on Hop off bus outside the Russian restaurant Troika. Had some "bear dumplings" and vodka shots while waiting for the bus. Yum!!
